Urinary tract infections are known as cystitis or inflammation of the bladder. A bladder infection is also referred to as a urinary tract infection or UTI. They are common in women but very rare in men. About 20% of all women get at least one Urinary tract infection at some point in their lives. Doctors aren't sure exactly why women have many more bladder infections than men. They suspect it may be because women have a shorter urethra, the tube that carries urine out of the bladder.

  • Cranberry juice is found very  effective in helping with UTI's. Cranberry juices have to taken along with apple juice for more effective results.
  • Tea made out of Marshmallow roots is also a good remedy for UTI.
  • A solution of baking soda is an essay home remedy. Taking half teaspoon of baking soda mixed with 250ml of water will work fine.
  • Take 2-3 glasses of lemon juice (lime juice) daily.
  • Drink 2 glass of carrot juice daily.
  • Take 300 mg of Shilajit (Mineral Pitch, Asphaltum) daily.
  • Water of a big tender coconut a day can give relief to urinary tract infection.

Along with following these remedies one should drink plenty of water and avoid spicy, junk food. Food which is sour to taste and alcohol are to be forbidden. Smoking must be stooped immediately.
