Thus listening consists of hearing, interpreting and understanding the meaning in a context. While communicating whether it is speaking or listening, it is necessary to make eye contact with the receiver to make the interaction successful. A proper eye contact helps to connect with the listener and conveys the speakers true emotions. Eye contact suggests confidence and creates interest in the listener to respond to the speaker. While facing a larger audience, it is better to make eye contact with several people so as to create personal interest and draw attention of the audience.

How to use Non-verbal Communication?

Verbal or oral communication involves speaking clearly in simple language ,using proper tone and volume. Oral communication can take place in face-to face conversation, group discussions, conferences, meetings and public addresses. Oral communication is flexible and can convey shades of meaning eliciting immediate response from the listeners. . Interestingly though oral communication is significant, facial expression and appropriate use of tone and rhythm in voice accounts for nearly ninety percent of effective communication between people. Non-verbal communication includes using body language, gestures, body posture and facial expressions.
