For most us it is quite frustrating to get rid of stains on dresses, shirts, carpets, and sofas, in fact on any article or clothing. Especially when it isa strong stain like red wine. What not to do if you have red wine on your dress?

As we said above, you should act quickly before the stain gets dry, no matter where you are, just run to the kitchen/bathroom and blot the stain of red wine with a clean, damp cloth. Make sure to use white cloth to avoid mixing dyes while blotting the stain. Do not rub on the stain instead just apply pressure to the stain to absorb the liquid because if you rub on the stain it will weaken the fibers of the fabric and it will also help the stain to go deeper into the fabric.

What are some of the other suggestions to clean red wine stains?

• Use white wine: after the red wine spills, just take the white wine and pour it over the red wine stain because white one can neutralize the coloring agents on the red wine, so the stain will disappear.
• Salt the stain: blot the stain with the salt until you can no longer see the red wine stains and then rinse it away. Coarse salt would work better than ordinary table salt.
• Use vinegar: vinegar must be available in most kitchens and it is consider as a fantastic stain remover for many kinds of stains. Do not pour the vinegar directly on the fabric instead use a clean white cloth that has drenched with vinegar and then blot the stain with it.
• Mild dishwashing detergent: this detergent helps to remove the red wine stain combines hydrogen per oxide and laundry detergent. Mix one teaspoon of laundry detergent and one cup of hydrogen per oxide and then blot on the stain to remove it by using a clean white sponge or cloth. 
• Cream of tartar and water paste: this mixture of paste helps to remove that red wine stain. You have to just gently apply this paste on the stain but do not rub. Then allow it to be there for a while and then remove with damp cloth.
• Club Soda : Club Soda is another great way to take off red wine stains. Pout it on the stain and put pressure on it. Do it tll the stain is gone.

• Do not forget to rinse the fabric after removal.
