What is a Digital camera?

  • Digital cameras are used to store your images in digitalized form rather than storing in a film. Digital camera technology evolved from the recorded television images.
  • An image is created due to the light which reflects back in to the cameras lens. The camera lens produces some light on the object where it is recorded and an image is created.
  • Earlier images were stored in the film and developed to make the photograph. But in digital cameras the images stored digitally can be uploaded to a computer.
  • And you can make your required changes by using graphics program and you can save the changes to CD, DVD or else you can get it printed.
  • Operating digital cameras is fairly easy as they run on regular batteries or rechargeable ones. Images taken in digital camera are stored electronically as all digital cameras have an inbuilt computer in them.
  • Camera film gives better quality pictures than digital camera. Digital cameras have not replaced conventional cameras but with improvement in technology, the quality of photos has increased tremendously and the ease of use has made digital cameras extremely popular
  • The digital cameras are able to capture audio, video and images. LCD screen is also available to view the images and videos stored in the camera memory.
  • Digital cameras with 2 megapixels are good to buy as they provide good quality images when they are loaded in the computer and printed.
