Vacations are a time everyone eagerly looks forward to. Volunteer vacations are designed for people who are helpful, ready to spend money and time. Helping people by teaching children who can not go to  school, taking care of babies in Mother Teresa's clinics in India and working on  wildlife conservation. These volunteer vacations are not for fun and entertainment but for the services. The challenge will be trying to decide where in the world you would like to go and what type of project you would like to participate in. The volunteer vacations can be for a day, a weekend, a fortnight, or longer. Depending upon the time and money one can decide. You can work in orphanages, homes for the disabled, schools, hospitals and clinics, or work on an archaeological dig, count turtle eggs, or track aquatic trails of a school of dolphins. You can build houses, clean up parks, or paint a schoolhouse. In addition, you can experience, enjoy, and contribute while staying in your preferred accommodations, from a hotel, or resort.

Where can I get details  about volunteer vacations?

You should have access to program alumni, and you should not have to pay for program information. Do not send money until you have chosen a project and are securing your reservation. If you are browsing an organization's Web site or program guide, you should see a detailed breakdown of how program fees are used.
